Small electrical jobs from a qualified electrician
Micky is a qualified electrician who previously worked on fire alarm systems at Heathrow Airport. That background means electrical work is handled with care and attention to safety.
We concentrate on the small to medium electrical jobs homeowners need, and they can be booked alongside decorating or carpentry so you can get everything done in one visit.
What we can help with
- Adding or moving sockets
- Replacing light fittings and switches
- Outdoor lighting
- Fitting extractor fans
- Replacing damaged accessories
- Smoke and heat alarms
- Fault finding on small domestic circuits
- USB sockets and dimmer switches
How we work
Qualified electrician
Electrical work is carried out by Micky himself, a qualified electrician.
Safety first
Experience with fire alarm systems at Heathrow means safety is always the priority.
Combined with other trades
Move a socket and redecorate the wall in the same visit.
Extractor fans and bathroom condensation
A bathroom without a working extractor fan tends to build up moisture, and over time that condensation is often behind paint that is bubbling or peeling, as explained in our guide on paint peeling from walls and ceilings. Fitting or replacing an extractor fan alongside any redecorating can help keep a bathroom ceiling looking right for longer.
Smaller electrical jobs like this are easy to fit in alongside carpentry or decorating work on the same visit, which saves arranging separate call outs for each trade.
What to expect on the day
For a socket, switch or light fitting, the circuit is isolated before any faceplate is removed, and testing is carried out once the new fitting is connected.
Outdoor lights and smoke alarms can be fitted where safe access is available from the ground or a suitable step ladder. The position and access are checked before the work is agreed.
Combining electrical work with other trades
Moving a socket or adding a light fitting is often worth doing before a room is decorated, so cables are hidden and the wall is made good as part of the painting.
An outdoor light can be fitted alongside small carpentry repairs to a porch or gate, saving a separate visit.
